Why did the chicken cross the road? Do you have a favourite response to the age-old joke? If so, submit it to McDonald’s and receive a free Schnitzel in return.
Coinciding with the launch of its new limited-time menu item, The Schnitzel, McDonald’s in JBR is asking residents in Dubai to share their favourite version of the joke.
On January 16, starting from 11am, customers can claim their free breaded halal chicken by walking up to the counter and telling one of the world’s most iconic jokes: "why did the chicken cross the road?" and revealing their answer. However, they need to be fast as the promotion is only good until items last.
“We also wanted to launch the Schnitzel in a fun and irreverent way that serves to cheer people up during the notorious ‘January Blues’ season,” said Walid Fakih, General Manager of McDonald’s UAE. “A joke in exchange for a free Schnitzel felt like the perfect match — a delicious treat in return for a timeless comedy classic.”
