A woman throws hot water into the cold air to produce the so-called Mpemba effect at Drachenberg (Dragon's Hill) in Berlin. The effect, a paradoxical phenomenon in which hot water freezes faster than cold water under certain conditions, is named after Erasto Bartholomeo Mpemba, who discovered it as a schoolboy in Tanzania.
