US President Donald Trump shared a fan-made video that inserts him into the film <em>Independence Day</em>.<br/> The minute-and-a-half video, which has been viewed more than 2.4 million times, replaces the face of the fictional Thomas J. Whitmore, played by Bill Pullman, with Mr Trump's.<br/> He tweeted the video to his 80 million followers on Saturday evening. The president uses Twitter most days, sometimes attacking opponents and sometimes pushing policies. Saturday was Armed Forces Day in the US, when military personnel are honoured for their service. <br/> In the film, Whitmore inspires a band of international fighters to rally against an extraterrestrial enemy.
