Mina Emergency Hospital in Makkah is ready to receive pilgrims during Hajj. One of four hospitals in Mina, it is one of the largest with a capacity of 230 beds, including 36 emergency beds, six resuscitation rooms, six isolation beds and 28 heat stroke beds. This year, they added a voice translator device that helps to facilitate the task of speaking with the patient in his mother tongue for different nationalities that do not speak Arabic or English. As for the hospital staff, there are 26 nurses, doctors and technicians in the emergency department 24 hours a day, while the total number of staff assigned to the hospital is 500 between administrative, technical and medical. The hospital has 32 general and specialised clinics, along with three operation rooms, a laparoscopic department, a burn unit, two maternity rooms and a nursery, in addition to a number of teams participating outside the hospital. The most frequent cases for patients to be admitted is heat stroke.
