The King of Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, arrived in the UAE on Friday on a three-day working visit. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, greeted the king upon his arrival at the Presidential Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport. It is the second visit of the Malaysian king to the UAE in as many years. In June the past year, the 61-year-old monarch was given an official reception ceremony at Qasr Al Watan in the capital, which included a 21-gun salute. The talks engaged in during his visit included investment and development opportunities as well as broader regional issues. It had been first time he has visited the Emirates since being crowned Malaysia's 16th king in January 2019. Also present at Friday's reception were HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Co, along with a number of officials.
