Kuwait-bound Air India Express flight makes emergency landing in Kerala

An Air India Express flight made an emergency landing at Kozhikode airport in Kerala on Friday because of a suspected fire in the cargo hold.

The flight from Calicut to Kuwait had 17 passengers on board. There were no injuries among those aboard the plane and no damage to the aircraft, the airline said.

"An Air India Express flight made a precautionary landing at Kozhikode today after pilots detected fire alarm from cargo," a representative said. "With 17 passengers on board, the flight was scheduled from Calicut to Kuwait."
