An EU-backed multimedia project has been launched to connect young Europeans and transcend language barriers.

ENTR, aimed at people aged 18 to 34, will publish videos and other content in English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese and Romanian.

“We value differences and celebrate similarities,” ENTR said in a statement.

“We connect people with different backgrounds and visions across Europe. ENTR is a truly pan-European and multilingual project that provides a new space for open and authentic discussion about our shared present and future.

“ENTR shines a light on the abundance of different perspectives across Europe.”

Most of ENTR’s work will be available on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

It was launched in partnership with a number of news providers on the continent.

“Ultimately, the goal is to create a greater awareness about European visions and realities and to foster greater engagement among Europeans towards shared European values and ideas that subsequently contribute to a more active European civil society,” the statement said.

“The project is strictly guided by the vision of a participatory forum that brings European thought-provoking topics within reach to young Europeans and that is based on inspiring dialogue via digital platforms.”
