Abu Dhabi// Music, cars, fitness and art will all find their place on the Corniche during the 10-day Yasalam Festival, which begins Thursday.

The activities being organised on the Corniche include the Get Driver Fit Obstacle Course, which is in its second year. The course will open to the public at 5pm tonight and will run until Sunday when the GDF male and female champions will be named. The champions will win a trip to Seychelles.

Visitors to the F1 FanZone, which will open its doors at 5pm, will hear live music, from the shortlisted bands from the Emerging Talent competition.

The three finalists – Jay Abo, Scott Attew and SOS – will participate in the finale on Saturday. They will perform on the stage from 7.30pm onwards and then the winner will be announced by the jury.

Urban Art Zone will be present at the event alongside the FanZone and will feature workshops and demonstrations throughout the week.

The opening parade, starting at 4pm on Thursday, will commence from Gate 6 to the West Plaza along the Corniche beginning at the F1 FanZone opening. Here, children will parade in a procession of specially designed floats, dancers and performers and marching bands.

The parade will reach the West Plaza and gates of the FanZone at 4.45pm.
