The UAE’s Human Appeal International (HAI) has stepped up its winter aid campaign to assist 300 Palestinian families affected by the snowstorm that recently struck in the Palestinian territories, the Levant and Iraq.
Ibrahi Rashid, director of the HAI office in the West Bank, said HAI’s winter campaign, in which US$1 million (Dh3.6m) in aid will be distributed, targets 15,000 Palestinian families, including the poor, orphans and Bedouins affected by the snowstorm.
Teams distributed the aid on Saturday, which included clothing, heaters, blankets, children’s milk and other food stuff items, to 288 families in Galilee Province, northern West Bank.
