The head of a government programme which works to protect the heritage of the UAE has said expatriates who make their home in the Emirates should immerse themselves and their family in the community and culture. Ahmed al Mansoori, the director general of Watani, says it is down to the individual and not the responsibility of the government to 'force' people to integrate. What can expatriates do to integrate themselves into UAE culture and society? Should they try and learn Arabic? Should the Government put more pressure on those coming to live here to integrate?
