Dubai Police may be known for its stunning supercars, but Abu Dhabi Police has gone decidedly old school as it unveiled its new livery and along with it a stunning 1979 vintage Porsche. In July, police announced plans to rebrand and relaunch as a force, complete with new uniforms and American-style shield badges. It also said the force will also become a separate law enforcement body from the Ministry of Interior, which oversees policing in the emirates. On Sunday, it unveiled its new livery for its vehicles - blue with an insignia on the car bonnet, in contrast to the red it has used for many years. New-look uniforms are expected to be unveiled shortly. Police also unveiled new Ford Taurus patrol vehicles, which are widely used by law enforcement in the United States, and the popular Nissan Patrol, which is already part of the Abu Dhabi Police fleet.
