UAE weather: Winds are stirring up dust and sand

Meteorologists issued a weather warning on Sunday, saying fresh winds are stirring up dust and sand, creating poor conditions on the roads.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said hazy and cloudy weather and northwesterly winds will reduce visibility in scattered areas across the country.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed and leave enough space between vehicles in such conditions.

Temperatures will reach highs of 33°C to 39°C and lows of 16°C to 26°C in coastal areas, and highs of 37°C to 44°C and lows of 15°C to 24°C in internal areas.

The relative humidity will increase during the night with a chance of scattered fog.

The windy weather will continue on Monday and Tuesday.

Forecasters warned that conditions in the Arabian Gulf are also rough to very rough, and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.
