UAE weather: Warnings of fog and poor visibility

ABU DHABI // Weather forecasters warned of fog and poor visibility, particularly in the western and internal parts of the country.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said on Tuesday that visibility could at times be less than 1 kilometre.

It also warned of fog over Ghayathi, in the Western Region, about 7am. Fog is expected to continue over western and coastal areas on Wednesday.

The centre said skies would be partly cloudy in eastern areas, while seas in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman would be moderate.

The highest temperature recorded on Monday was 37.1°C, the centre said. The lowest temperature on Tuesday, 16.5ºC, was recorded at Jabal Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 6am.
