UAE weather: Temperatures to hit 48°C

Dusty weather with reduced visibility due to blowing dust over the interior of the country has been forecast until and throughout the weekend.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology has urged motorists in the most affected areas to drive with extra caution as winds will be as high as 40kph.

Meanwhile, hot and dusty conditions continue across the country, with cloud cover increasing over eastern areas at midday.

Temperatures will range from 25°C to 48°C inland, 27°C to 44°C along the coast and 26°C to 39°C in the mountains.

Forecasters said humidity levels rose overnight and during the early morning hours on Wednesday and are likely to reach a high of 80 per cent in the interior and 85 along the coast and mountainous.

Waters in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate, becoming rough at times, and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
