Fog and mist caused poor visibility in some parts of the country in the early hours of Friday morning, according to the National Centre for Meteorology. From around 1am, visibility was reduced over some western coastal areas to less than 1000 metres and its expected to lift on Friday morning. Areas affected included Sweihan, Al Rawase and Madinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi. Weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general with a slight rise in temperatures, which are expected to reach highs of 31°C internally and 29°C on the coast. Humidity is likely to increase at night and in the early hours of the morning especially westwards leading to potential fog and mist over some coastal and internal areas, reaching 85 per cent internally. The sea will be slight to moderate in both Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea with Easterly to North-easterly winds, reaching 35km/h at times. Temperatures are expected to slightly increase also on Saturday but gradual drop starting from Sunday and decrease further on Monday while the weather will be fair to partly cloudy with the possibility of fog formation over scattered and internal areas.
