ABU DHABI // North-westerly winds will cause poor visibility across the country and rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf at the beginning of this week.
Sunday’s weather will be fair in general and partly cloudy, while the wind will blow between 25 kilometres an hour and 35kph along the coast and may increase to 50kph, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said.
In the interior and mountainous areas, wind speeds will be slightly reduced to between 20kph and 30kph, with gusts reaching up to 45kph at times.
The centre said the wind will cause rough to very rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman. On land, strong winds may kick up dust and sand, reducing visibility.
Sunday’s high will be between 19°C and 23°C along the coast, with a low of 15°C.
Temperatures will be about 1°C warmer in the interior and much cooler in the mountains, topping at 17°C with a low of 8°C.
Humidity is likely to increase over some interior areas at night and early in the morning.
