ABU DHABI // Dubai police have asked drivers to reduce their speeds on Tuesday morning as commuters faced rain and strong winds on roads throughout the country.
Forecasters from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology reported heavy rain over Al Shahama, in Abu Dhabi, with scattered showers falling on other parts of the Emirate.
Rain was also reported further North, over Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.
Winds of 28kph have whipped up sand and reduced visibility in some areas, said the NCMS, which warned of rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Hazy and cloudy conditions are forecast to continue over the next two days along with the possibility of rain.
Stronger winds reaching up to 37kph are expected to further reduce visibility over the weekend.
