UAE weather: more rain on the way

It may be premature to pack away the raincoats just yet, as light showers look likely to return to the UAE on Sunday.

After a largely dry, if hazy and warm weekend for many, Sunday will bring a return of more unsettled weather with outbreaks of rain.

Showers are most likely in coastal areas and in the west, as wind speeds increase to up to 40 kilometres an hour.

It will be warmer, too, as temperatures creep past 33C, although it promises to be slightly cooler in the Northern Emirates where daytime temperatures are likely to peak at 27C.

A similar weather pattern – with continued unsettled conditions including light showers – is expected until Wednesday.
