It is going to be a hot and sticky day, with humidity reaching as high as 90 per cent in outlying areas.
Temperatures will rise to 49C inland and 45C on the coast.
Winds will be light to moderate and could pick up towards the middle of the day, which will kick up dust. And it could become cloudy over eastern parts of the country.
It will remain hot and hazy for the rest of the week, say forecasters.
