Hot and windy weather is forecast during the Eid Al Fitr holiday with temperatures expected to peak at 48°C inland. Temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are expected to range between 29°C and 40°C this weekend, the National Centre of Meteorology said. Temperatures will range between 26°C to 43°C along the coast and from 21°C to 48°C inland. People in the Northern Emirates or in mountainous areas can expect temperatures of 24°C to 39°C. Humidity will increase overnight peaking at 90 per cent over the coast with potential mist forming in areas across the country. Skies are expected to be fair and hazy at times while moderate fresh winds by the afternoon that will be blowing dust and sand over more exposed areas of the country and causing rough seas. Those planning to go camping or travel to another emirate during the Eid holiday should be wary of poor visibility along motorways. While those partaking in water sports this weekend will be faced with rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf, with waves reaching up to seven-feet high, however, it will remain moderate in the Sea of Oman. Forecasters said the lowest temperature recorded across the country on Friday was 20.3°C at 5.45am in Damtha area.
