The heat is set to continue throughout this week, which will be partly cloudy and hazy at times.
Clouds are expected to increase today over eastern and northern areas, while some of heat could be broken by light-to-moderate winds that are expected to freshen during the early morning hours.
Conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be slight to moderate.
The temperature during the day in Abu Dhabi will reach 42°C and drop to 28°C on Monday. The lowest temperature recorded in the morning was 21.8°C above Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 5.30am.
Tomorrow, more cloud and a chance of light rainfall is forecast, especially in the north and in the eastern mountains.
Light to moderate winds are expected to be freshening at times and could be accompanied with dust blowing over exposed areas.
Temperatures are expected to be similar to today.
The weather on Wednesday should be more promising as the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology expects lower temperatures of about 37°C during the day and 27°C at night. Conditions will continue to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
