ABU DHABI // Residents woke to thick fog and poor visibility on Monday as forecasters warned motorists to drive carefully.
Fog was reported across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, particularly over Al Minhad, Sweihan, Al Maktoum International Airport and Sheikh Zayed Road.
Temperatures across the country are expected to dip slightly compared with Sunday, with lows of 16°C inland and 22°C along the coast. They are expected to increase again by the afternoon.
Temperatures will range between 22°C and 38°C along the coast, 16°C to 43°C inland and 15°C to 32°C in the mountains.
Conditions are expected to be fair in general becoming hazy at times with light to moderate winds of up to 38kph over coastal areas.
Humidity will increase overnight, peaking at 85 per cent, and causing mist over coastal areas and inland, which will carry into Tuesday morning.
Seas will be “slight to moderate” in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman, but may be rough at times in the western region of the Arabian Gulf.
