ABU DHABI // Residents need to brace themselves for hotter days ahead as the country’s temperature will hit 40°C during this weekend, while humidity may reach up to 95 per cent.
Forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said on Thursday the temperature would gradually increase each day as we are heading towards summer .
Motorist,s meanwhile, were warned to drive carefully due to possible fog on Friday morning in the interior of the country.
The NCMS said the maximum temperature during the weekend would be between 36°C and 41°C in interior areas, while on the coast it would hover between 34°C and 38°C.
Forecasters also said there would be slight winds on Thursday which may kick up dust in open areas of the country and turn make waters slightly rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
But during the weekend, it would calm and the weather will be pleasant in general.
The maximum temperature for Thursday was expected to be between 24°C and 28°C and the minimum between 20°C and 25°C along coastal areas, while in interior will see a maximum of between 28°C and 33°C and minimum of 19°C and 23°C.
