DUBAI // Very strong winds are expected to last the weekend as forecasters issue a rough sea warning to all beachgoers.
Skies will be partly cloudy on Thursday with strong winds expected to pick up dust and sand causing haze across most of the country.
Forecasters ask anyone heading out to sea or partaking in watersports to do so with care as the Arabian Gulf is expected to be very rough with similar conditions expected in the Sea of Oman.
The strong winds will peter out by Saturday and humidity levels are expected to rise, particularly in coastal regions.
Temperatures will peak at 42°C and drop to 23°C inland on Thursday with highs of 38°C and lows of 24°C expected along the coast.
The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Thursday was 20.3°C in Damsa at 5:30am.
