ABU DHABI //Heavy rain is expected early next week.
Light to moderate rain was observed at Abu Dhabi's Delma Island and other islands in Al Gharbia and in the northcoast town of Sha'am in Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday morning.
Cloud cover is expected to increase in the islands and the northern emirates over the weekend and heavy rain is expected on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
"On the 21st, 22nd, 23rd we expect a good deal of rain, inshallah," said an official from the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology. It may rain this weekend.
Mariners are advised to avoid the sea in rough weather. The sea is expected to be moderate this weekend but could be rough in the evenings.
