Fog covered parts of the country on Thursday morning reducing visibility to less than 1km in some areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. Mist and fog settled over Madinat Zayed, Maktoum International Airport, Minhad and Sweihan, with forecasters expecting the fog to last until 9 am. Throughout the day conditions are expected to be partly cloudy and hazy at times, with south-easterly winds blowing between 12 to 22kph across interior regions and could reach 28kph, according to NCM. Clouds will gather throughout the day increasing the chance of rain over the coast and islands. Temperatures will increase slightly on Thursday ranging between 11°C and 32°C inland, 15°C to 29°C along the coast, and 11°C to 24°C in the mountains. Humidity levels could peak at 95 per cent inland, 90 per cent along the coast and 55 per cent in mountains. The sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman. However, the waters of the Arabian Gulf could become rough.
