UAE weather: Drivers warned to take care in morning fog

Fog will reduce visibility to 1000 metres in western areas of the UAE on Monday morning. The National

Visibility is expected to fall below 1,000 metres on the west coast on Tuesday as overnight fog takes time to clear through the morning.

Motorists are urged to take extra caution during the morning rush hour, but as the fog clears it will be a largely fine, warm day for many.

Temperatures will peak in Abu Dhabi at 36°C, although humidity will continue to reach about 80 per cent in the capital, and could be even higher in Ajman and Umm al Quwain at close to 90 per cent relative humidity.

Low clouds will build through the afternoon in Dubai and elsewhere in the west, with further fog accumulation into Tuesday overnight.

Temperatures will fall to 30°C overnight in coastal areas, and to 24°C in northern and eastern areas before similar weather conditions on Wednesday.
