ABU DHABI // Cloudy skies are expected on Sunday after early morning fog and mist descended upon the Western Region and capital.
In some areas, including Mohammed Bin Zayed City, dense fog significantly reduced visibility prompting the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology to issue a warning to motorists.
More fog is expected on Monday morning, the result of an increase in overnight humidity in some coastal and interior areas, the weather bureau said.
However, daytime conditions on Sunday and Monday are expected to improve with fair to partly cloudy weather and highs of 25°C along the coast and 27°C in interior areas.
Conditions at sea will be calm, with light to moderate winds.
The lowest temperature on Sunday — 8.8°C — was recorded at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, the tallest peak in the country.
