A chance of rain is forecast on Saturday for some eastern and southern areas of the country, according to the national weather service. The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology said heavy rain fell over Al Hanyah, Al Manama and Siji on Friday, while other southern and eastern parts of the country received light rain. The convective clouds expected to build up this afternoon may once again be associated with rain, according to the NCMS. Temperatures across the country will continue to be hot to very hot, with highs reaching between 42°C and 49°C in the internal areas, 39°C to 47 C along the coast, and 31°C to 40°C in the mountains. Weather conditions will be partly cloudy and hazy at times. With southeasterly to northeasterly winds blowing between 15 to 30 km/h, sea conditions are expected to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. Relative humidity will reach highs of 60 to 80 per cent along the coast, rising during the night and early morning, with a chance of mist or fog to the west. The lowest temperature recorded over the country today was 22.2 C in Jais Mountain at 4am.
