Forecasters warned of rough conditions at sea on Friday with 50kph shamal winds. Conditions are expected to continue into Saturday, the National Centre of Meteorology said. Waves will be about three metres in the Arabian Gulf and seven metres in the Sea of Oman. Northwesterly winds along the coast may even reach 45kph over mountain areas. Although the centre estimates wind speeds will die down by tomorrow morning, it warned residents to be on the lookout and be cautious if they undertake any maritime activities. Weather conditions on land are expected to be partly cloudy on Friday, with another decrease in temperatures, reaching highs of 26°C internally and 24°C on the coast. Humidity will increase at night and in the early morning over some internal and coastal areas with a chance of fog and mist. The lowest temperature recorded over the country today morning was 6.8 °C in Merbeh Mountain at 6:45am.
