Partly cloudy skies and moderate, fresh winds can be expected on Sunday. The lowest temperature recorded was 2.2°C, on Merbeh Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah.
Despite chilly conditions in the mountains, forecasters expect temperatures to increase slightly across the rest of the country.
Inland, humidity will rise overnight leading to potential mist and fog on Monday morning.
Temperatures will range between 12°C and 26°C along the coast, with 8°C to 27°C expected inland. In the mountains temperatures will peak at 19°C and fall as low as 5°C.
The sea will be rough on Sunday morning in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman but will become moderate by noon. Similar conditions are expected over the next three says.
Commuters in the capital experienced delays on Sultan bin Zayed the First Road and Mohammed bin Khalifa Road outbound because of a broken-down car.
Delays were also reported on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road after Abu Dhabi University because of an accident.
Motorists heading to Dubai from Sharjah were met with congestion until 10am on Mohammed bin Zayed Road until Al Warqa Bridge and on Al Ittihad Road until Dubai Police HQ tunnel.

A plume of black smoke rose from a fuel storage facility in the village of Kalynivka outside Kyiv on Friday after Russia said it had destroyed the military site with Kalibr cruise missiles.
"On the evening of March 24, Kalibr high-precision sea-based cruise missiles attacked a fuel base in the village of Kalynivka near Kyiv," the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
Ukraine confirmed the strike, saying the village some 40 kilometres south-west of Kyiv was targeted.
