Traffic was slow in many areas of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah this morning.
Traffic was crawling on D-68 Al Khail Street near Business Bay and on E-611 Emirates Road in Dubai.
Abu Dhabi saw heavy traffic on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street near Danat Al Emarat Hospital and on E22 Abu Dhabi/Al Ain Road near Sas Al Nakhel.
The E10 Um Al Nar/Al Shahama Road saw traffic move at an average speed of 28 km/hr before 8am.
Sharjah was similarly slow. On E311 Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, cars were moving at 21km/hr whereas on on D-62 Beirut Street near Al Madina Mall, traffic was moving at 8 km/hr.
Al Ittihad Street had traffic moving at 17 km/hr. D-95 Baghdad Street near Dubai Millennium School saw cars moving at 6 km/hr.
An accident on Emirates Road, later lead to congestion in the area.
“Traffic jam due to An #accident on Emirates Rd coming from Sharjah before Al Aweer bridge, please be extra cautious” tweeted Dubai Police.
