DUBAI // Several accidents slowed commuters on Sunday and as police advised commuters of alternative routes to avoid traffic build-up around Easter services.
Dubai Police warned of congestion on Oud Metha Road from the Wafi interchange due to Easter Sunday Services at St Mary’s Church.
Elsewhere in Dubai, motorists experienced significant delays due to multiple accidents which prompted police to urge cautious driving.
An accident was reported on Dubai-Al Ain Road and another on Al Itihad Road near the Nahda interchange causing further delays for commuters.
Also in Dubai, slow traffic was reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the National Paints roundabout in Sharjah to Mirdif City Centre. And congestion was reported in Dubai Airport Tunnel, Dubai Investments Park, Dubai Marina area, Al Barsha, and Discovery Gardens.
In Sharjah, traffic was at a crawl on Al Itihad Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Industrial Area 13, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street and King Faisal Street.
