An accident was reported on Emirates Road near the Khawaneej area in Dubai on Tuesday morning.
Heavy traffic clogged arterial roads across the country, with the police urging respect for the rules of the road.
“Good morning … to respect the rules is a sign of your love and your loyalty to your country,” the Dubai Police tweeted.
Traffic disruptions caused delays in Dubai in Discovery Gardens, International City, Dubai Investments Park and on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
Congestion in Abu Dhabi resulted in tailbacks on Sweihan Road after the Ras Al Khor interchange, on Sheikh Zayed Street near Saada bridge and near Zayed the First Street in the Al Zahiyah area.
Heavy traffic in Sharjah was reported on the Maliha Kalba road, in Industrial Area 12 and near the National Paints Factory.
