Shopkeepers were surprised to see a remote-controlled police camera circle the skies over Muroor Road this afternoon.
The device, which looked like a 60-centimetre helicopter, took photos of a crash scene at the junction of Muroor and 15th Street.
Two men were hospitalised when a driver ran a red light and crashed into a taxi, said police at the scene. The taxi rolled from the impact of the crash.
“It’s the first time I've seen this. Wallah, I was astonished” said Samir Mohammed, owner of Firaiha Falafel who watched the scene from his chair.
The remote-controlled camera circled for 15 minutes.
“The same as a toy,” said Mohammed Faisal, a sales associate at Hello Future Mobiles.
