A UAE Red Crescent-sponsored plane carrying school stationery and supplies landed at Tripoli airport yesterday as part of the Emirates' programme to support Libya's education system.
The Red Crescent Authority is closely monitoring the humanitarian situation and coordinating efforts with its Libyan colleagues to alleviate the suffering of ordinary citizens in the country.
The educational aid is intended to help the nation's schools cope with their current challenges. Libya's Red Crescent officials welcomed the UAE assistance.
