The third meeting of the Arab Advisory Committee for Child Rights was held this week in Cairo at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League to discuss a first draft of a strategy for the advancement of children in the region.
The meeting was attended by representatives of national authorities involved in children’s issues in the Middle East, as well as a number of regional organisations working in the field of children’s rights and legal and social experts.
Ahmad Ibrahim, Director of Protection of Children’s Rights Department at Sharjah Social Services Department, Fatima Musa Al Bloushi, Director of Corporate Performance Management at the Department and Dr. Sheikha Mohammed Al Mulla, Representative of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, represented the UAE.
