Male and female pilot candidates graduate from Khalifa bin Zayed Air College

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed paid tribute to graduates from the UAE Air Force college.

The deputy chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council attended the graduation at the Khalifa bin Zayed Air College on Monday and urged them to be good role models. Sheikh Hazza also wished them a bright future.

"We have witnessed today the graduation of the 50th batch of male pilot candidates and the 10th batch of female pilot candidates," Sheikh Hazza said .

"And we congratulate then on their success, wishing them a path filled with excellence.”

He also urged them to overcome all challenges.

Khalifa bin Zayed Air College is an official military college and is the main training institution for the UAE Air Force.

It was established in the 1980s before moving to an expanded facility in Al Ain during the 1990s.

The college's mission is to train pilots for the UAE Air Force who are in tune with the Middle East environment.

The ceremony was also attended by Mohammed Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lt Gen Hamad Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces and the families of graduates.
