UAE aid delivery reaches Sudan

ABU DHABI// The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation delivered relief to victims of floods in Kassala in eastern Sudan.

Khedher Al Basheer, the deputy governor of Kassala, said the aid would be given to 50,000 people, about 75 per cent of those affected by the floods.

Hamad Mohammed Al Jenaibi, the Sudanese ambassador to the UAE, oversaw the delivery of 330 tonnes of humanitarian aid by 35 lorries to local authorities.

The aid follows a directive from President Sheikh Khalifa.
