UAE ‘a hub of international economy’ thanks to union, Fujairah Ruler says

Unity of the emirates has made the country an international economic hub, says ruler of Fujairah.

The UAE has become an international economic hub thanks to the unity of the seven emirates, the Ruler of Fujairah said in a speech to mark the 42nd National Day.

“Thanks to the wise leadership, its love for its people and the mutual love of the citizens towards their leadership, the march of the union has started and developed steadily,” said Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi.

“Now, the UAE is a hub of the international economy and a destination of renaissance, prosperity and overall development.

“For everyone who seeks happiness, security and safety, the UAE will be the destination for those who thrive for Arab and Islamic identity, tolerance, social coexistence and the culture of moderation.”

The Fujairah Ruler was speaking to Dira’a Al Watan magazine. In a wide-ranging interview, he praised the federation.

"Union consolidates determination, achieves welfare, coordinates efforts, develops knowledge and science, and highlights the country's stature and hoists its flag high," Sheikh Hamad said.

“We would not be able to build our homeland, secure a better life, maintain achievements, boost development or increase wealth without the union.

“It also highlights the prestigious stature of the country among nations in the international arena.”

Sheikh Hamad said the country was progressing daily in terms of security, innovation and pioneering, and that its achievements were part of a Government strategy that has made the UAE one of the world’s most generous and charitable countries.

Sheikh Hamad prayed to Allah to rest the soul of Sheikh Zayed, the founding President, and to bless the steps of President Sheikh Khalifa.
