SHARJAH // A 36-year-old Arab woman was killed when she was run over while crossing King Abdul Aziz Street in Sharjah on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman was hit by a 4x4 vehicle driven by an Arab motorist, Sharjah Police said, and she died instantly.
Police called on pedestrians to use pedestrian crossings and bridges when crossing roads and to ensure no cars are coming when crossings and bridges are not available.
Drivers also have a responsibility to abide by speed limits and other road rules, police said.
