Multiple crashes were recorded at rush hour on Wednesday bringing traffic to a crawl in parts of new Dubai. Dubai Police reported traffic accidents on Hessa Street shortly before 8am and Google Maps showed tailbacks up and down the busy street. Google also marked crashes and tailbacks in Jumeirah Village Triangle and the Al Sufouh area near Knowledge Village. Police said the Hessa Street crash was near the Saudi German Hospital on the carriageway towards Sheikh Zayed road. Motorists were advised to take alternative routes. Traffic remains slow with an average speed of 10 km/hr, according to the Waze traffic app.
