Diesel prices will increase by 4.5 per cent from Monday, while petrol prices will remain almost the same in October compared with September. Here’s a breakdown: - Super 98: Dh2.61 a litre (up from Dh2.59 in September) - Special 95: Dh2.50 a litre (up from Dh2.48) - Diesel: Dh2.76 a litre (up from Dh2.64) The price of diesel is higher this year after being set at Dh2.33 a litre in January, after VAT was included. Petrol prices also increased marginally in September. Since the start of the year they have been steadily rising, despite a blip in July. Special 95 was Dh2.12 a litre in January.
