Two young Emiratis died and four others were injured in a car accident in Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday.
The men, identified as Nawaf Al Mansouri and Sultan Al Mazrouei, and aged 18 and 19 respectively, were travelling along Adhen-Al Tawain road in the south of Ras Al Khaimah at 9pm when they crashed into another car.
It is unclear who called RAK police but paramedics were dispatched to the site along with police patrols.
Al Mansouri and Al Mazrouei died instantly while the four others, travelling in the second car, were taken to Saqr Hospital in an ambulance. Their injuries were described by police as "moderate to severe".
Funeral prayers were held for Al Mansouri and Al Mazrouei at Sheikh Saif Ali Al Khatri Mosque in Adhen on Thursday morning.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are under way.
