DUBAI// Two people have died and three others left injured in two separate crashes on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road last night.
Two cars were involved in the first accident which took place at about 7.30pm, near Global Village, heading towards Abu Dhabi.
A spokesman for Dubai Police said the male driver of one of the cars was killed in the collision. Three others were seriously injured.
The second crash occurred three hours later, also on the same road, and also involving two cars.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a man, was killed.
The spokesman said investigations into both crashes were ongoing.
