DUBAI // Two men escaped serious injury when their vehicles were involved in a collision on the Seih Shuib to Al Fayah truck road between Dubai and Abu Dhabi this morning.
Police were called to the scene near Jebel Ali at about 7.30am following a two-car collision involving an Emirati man and an Indian man. Both were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries but are expected to leave later this morning.
Earlier in the day at about 6am, police also attended an incident in the Al Rahba area where a water tanker had overturned. No other vehicles were involved and the road remained open during the recovery of the tanker. No other serious accidents were reported in Dubai.
Lt Col Jamal Al Ameri, head of public relations at Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate, said: “The water tanker is still down but no one was injured. The two men involved in the second accidents should recover well and leave hospital soon.”
