A one-year-old Pakistani girl was killed on Tuesday after being accidentally run over by her cousin.
The accident took place in the evening in front of the child’s home in Al Sawan, Ajman.
Her cousin did not notice the baby as he drove the vehicle, hitting the toddler.
Ajman City Police continue to investigate the matter.
This type of accident is not uncommon in the UAE, with 37 children in Sharjah killed last year after being run over by cars.
In the majority of these cases, the young children were accidentally run over by parents or other relatives.
