DUBAI // Three Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids are the latest vehicles to join Dubai Police’s fleet of luxury cars.

The saloons are environmentally friendly and can go from 0 to 100 kph in 5.2 seconds, and have a top speed of 268 kph.

Each car weighs 2,095 kilograms and produces 416 horsepower.

Dubai Police released a video on Monday to show the latest additions to the fleet.

Maj Gen Khamis Al Muzeina, Dubai’s police chief, is seen sitting in the driver’s seat of one of the vehicles in front of police headquarters, where he is joined by Brig Anas Al Matroushi, director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue.

The fleet of luxury cars, which includes a Bugatti Veyron, an Aston Martin One-77 and a Lamborghini Aventador among others, promote the image of the authorities and encourages the public to interact with police. They patrol heritage sites and tourist areas.
