SHARJAH // Police have completed plans to ensure the flow of traffic at peak hours and prayer times at mosques during Ramadan.

Colonel Shawaf Abdulrahman, director of Traffic and patrols in Sharjah, said 18 patrols will be stationed near the most important mosques in the emirate specifically during Taraweh prayers.

“After the prayers finish, the patrols will help in facilitating traffic near malls and markets,” he said.

Police also released 203 female and male inmates from correction and detention centres under the directive of the Sharjah Ruler, Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi.

The released inmates met the conditions and rules that made them eligible to be pardoned.
