DUBAI // A series of accidents on Sunday morning caused delays for motorists during their commute.
There were a number of accidents on the E611 Emirates Road that resulted in long tailbacks.
There was an accident before the E88 Al Dhaid Road intersection in the direction of Dubai and there were reports of further accidents on the E611 after the Maliha Road intersection, resulting in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
An accident on Maliha Road before the E611 intersection towards Kalba also caused long delays.
There were delays on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road heading towards Abu Dhabi from Jumeirah Village Triangle and Dubai Investments Park roundabout due to ongoing construction work.
There were no reports of accidents in Abu Dhabi.
